As collaborative problem-solvers, they actively seek out new ideas, methodologies, and materials. Your work is innovative and often unconventional, paving the way towards new experiences and future landscapes.

    The team at the Georgetown Steam Plant is committed to supporting young creatives actively searching for the perfect place to showcase their original works, and to align them with our annual Science Fair.

    More than just a building, the Georgetown Steam Plant is an experience. Often referred to as the industrial cathedral, its unique architecture and rich history provides the perfect backdrop to showcase the bold, and forward thinking work of the next generation of SHTEAM enthusiasts.

Tasked with a 60 year lease, the team at the Georgetown Steam Plant CDA (Community Development Authority) are stewarding its transition from a retired industrial powerhouse into a unique event space for future generations to experience and explore.

    If you’re a high school student (grades 9-12) looking to earn your community service hours at the Georgetown Steam Plant, we invite you to join us on this journey.
